Module 7: Generic Skills
A generic skill is a skill which can be applied across a variety of subject domains and takes longer to acquire than domain-dependent (subject-area) skills. A generic skill includes 3 components: a procedure--a set of steps you use to perform the skill; principles that provide guidance as to how to perform each step; and to memorize the order of the steps--a memorization component.

Module 8: Attitudes
Attitudes are complex mental states of human beings that affect their choices of personal action towards people, things, and events. Learners have an attitude when they choose to make consistent choices in repeated situations. There are two kinds of conditions which must be established and/or provided for the various types of outcomes to occur: internal and external.
Week 11 Due Dates: teammates' individual posting by Tuesday 4/17; Discussant's summary by Sunday, 4/22; teammates' review posting by Tuesday 4/24.
Please follow the guideline for online discussion to provide your input and feedback through the following blog site:

The last two modules are not completely developed and presented in the website yet. Your team should conduct researches and provide the answers for the following topics based on your findings:
Case Study:
1.   Let’s review the Group Critique I Software again. Your team reviewed the assigned site for the first 3 modules and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the web design. With your team, study the dimensions of divergence carefully and see if you can think of any that should be added or deleted. (It should be based on the principles for teaching each designated components, the sequence of the instructions, and the levels of complexity of the generic skill.) (Need references!)
2.   Look at the components of the generic skill for this review. How the procedure was presented – a set of steps, an important list of principles, or an un-organized laundry list?
3.   Identify the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of the attitude you found from this Group Critique I site. (Need References.)
4.   How do you define the attitude conflicts occurred between the principles of learning and teaching? (Need references.)
